Your Student Success Team

The College of the Arts Student Success Team is dedicated to offering a wide range of services designed to help students persist and graduate. We provide holistic academic advising as it pertains to General Education, Academic Notice, Graduation and how to interpret the Titan Degree Audit. In addition, we can assist with information about how to connect with major advisors, campus support services and resources, career planning and personal development. 

Need advising help? E-mail cotassc@eduftp.net with your CWID (campus-wide ID number), first and last name, and major. Please be as detailed as you can with your questions; an advisor will respond to you within 48 hours.

I hold my Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature (Minor in Women and Gender Studies) from the State University of New York at Purchase College and my Master’s in Education in Higher Education Administration from Post University in Connecticut. I began working at CSUF in 2017 and have exclusively supported Arts students since 2011. Fun fact: In my spare time, I enjoy visiting museums, checking out live music and exploring new places.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton and my Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. I am a first-generation, underrepresented, Mexican American college student who began her journey at CSUF in 2006 as a student assistant and now serves as the Graduation Specialist for College of the Arts; to come full circle, I could not have it any other way! Fun fact: I love reading murder mystery novels, singing in the car, and lifting weights!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature, Language, and Civilization from California State University, San Bernardino, and my Master’s in Higher Education: Student Affairs from the University of Redlands. I was a first-generation college student and am Guatemalan-American. I began working at CSUF in January 2023 and I’m excited to be here. Fun fact: I am a breakfast foodie! I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in Education with a Concentration in Counseling, both from San Diego State University. Originating from the Imperial Valley, I am proud to be a first-generation college student. I am enthusiastic about supporting passionate and determined college students in their academic endeavors! Thrilled to join Cal State Fullerton, go Titans!

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and my Master of Science in Higher Education from California State University, Fullerton. I am a first-generation Mexican, Salvadorian American and college graduate. As a fellow Titan, I am excited to return to CSUF as a Career Specialist to support you all. In my free time, I enjoy attending live shows such as musicals and concerts!

Andrea Ramirez Rivera

I have my Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health from CSUF. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Counseling with an Animo: Latinx Counseling emphasis. Fun fact, I was the COTA SSC's student assistant during my undergrad. As of October 2022, I returned  as their Graduate Assistant and the Arts Inter-Club Council Co-Advisor! If I had to pick my top two favorite shows, they would be Bob's Burgers and I Love Lucy.
